Extractions & Oral Surgery
When a tooth can’t be saved, safe and careful extraction is the priority. Dr. Park’s training in oral and maxillofacial surgery ensures precision in every case.
When extraction is needed
- Severe decay beyond repair
- Advanced gum disease
- Infection or abscess
- Fractured teeth or roots
- Impacted or malpositioned teeth
- Orthodontic preparation
Before extraction, Dr. Park takes X-rays to assess the tooth position and surrounding bone. Aftercare instructions, pain management, and follow-up are all provided.
Wisdom Teeth
Wisdom teeth (third molars) often lack space to emerge properly. Impacted wisdom teeth — partially or fully trapped in gum or bone — can cause:
- Infection and swelling
- Damage to neighboring teeth
- Cyst formation
Dr. Park may recommend extraction even before symptoms appear to prevent future complications.
Minor Oral Surgery
Includes removal of retained roots, broken teeth, and small cysts or lesions. All procedures are performed under local anesthesia and are routine at our clinic.
