Dental Implants
Implants are the gold standard for replacing missing teeth — they look, feel, and function like natural teeth.
What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is a small titanium post surgically placed into your jawbone. It acts as an artificial tooth root, providing a stable foundation for a crown, bridge, or denture.
Key benefits:
- Looks and feels like a natural tooth
- Preserves jawbone (prevents bone loss)
- Doesn’t affect neighboring teeth
- Can last a lifetime with proper care
The process
- Consultation & planning — Dr. Park evaluates your bone density and overall oral health using digital imaging
- Implant placement — the titanium post is placed into the jawbone under local anesthesia
- Healing period — 3–6 months for the implant to fuse with the bone (osseointegration)
- Crown placement — a custom-made crown is attached to the implant
Insurance coverage
Patients aged 65 and over may be eligible for Korean National Health Insurance coverage for implants. Dr. Park can advise on your specific eligibility during consultation.
